Eugene Author Dinner / Susan Rebecca White - Atlanta Cuisine
Join Chef Linton Hopkins and Writer Susan Rebecca White for an intimate dinner and conversation about Atlanta food, memories and cuisine. Susan Rebecca White is the author of the critically acclaimed novel Bound South. Born and raised in Atlanta, she spent many years in San Francisco before returning to her hometown, where she teaches creative writing at Emory University. Her most recent book, A Soft Place to Land, is based on a fictional, yet archetypal Atlanta family. Chef Hopkins, also a native, will build a 4 course menu in homage to both his treasured Atlanta food memories and those of White's fictional family. Guests are invited to share their stories and beliefs about Atlanta Cuisine.

Izakaya Dinner
Join Restaurant Eugene and special Guest Chef Dennis Lange from 5 Seasons Brewery for an eight course Izakaya extravaganza. Restaurant Eugene's Chef Linton Hopkins and Chef de Cuisine Ryan Smith will join forces with the inimitable Dennis Lange, who first shared his knowledge and expertise in Japanese Cuisine with Atlanta through the opening of his beloved Yakitori Den Chan. Years later, Dennis still travels to Japan regularly just to pick-up his favorite shoya. The dinner will be a spirited (pun intended) and memorable celebration of traditional Japanese food and drink. Each course will be appropriately paired with Sake, Sochu, Wine or Whiskey.

Chef Linton Hopkins will join other James Beard Foundation nominees and award-winning chefs from around the South for a family style Friends of James Beard Benefit Dinner to support the James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program. Hosted by Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison, executive chefs and owners of Bacchanalia, Quinones at Bacchanalia, Abattoir, Floataway Café and Star Provisions , the dinner will take place at the Westside Provisions District 1170 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, GA 30318.

Eugene Author Dinner / Mark Kurlansky - Edible Stories
Restaurant Eugene and Chef Linton Hopkins are thrilled to welcome New York Times Best Selling Author Mark Kurlansky for an evening of Edible Stories. The dinner, the second event in the Eugene Author Dinner series, will feature Kurlansky signing and reading from his most recent novel, Edible Stories, and a menu developed around Kurlansky's substantial and acclaimed food writing, including his books Salt, Cod, and The Big Oyster, as well as his brilliantly edited Choice Cuts and The Food of a Younger Land, and his lovely translation of Zola's The Belly of Paris. There will be no shortage of inspiration and enjoyment. Fans of food, the book and Kurlansky are assured a deliciously thoughtful and memorable evening.
